Most visitors need an eVisa, available at www.evisa.go.ke. Apply at least 7 days before travel.
Passport Validity
Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay.
Yellow Fever
Yellow fever vaccination certificate required if arriving from endemic countries.
Visa-Free Countries
Citizens of EAC countries (Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan) do not require a visa.

Accepted in major hotels, restaurants, and shops. Cash is needed for markets and smaller establishments.

Take anti-malarial medication, use insect repellent, sleep under mosquito nets, wear long sleeves at dusk.
Drink only bottled or filtered water. Avoid ice in drinks from unknown sources.
Keep valuables in hotel safe, avoid walking alone at night, follow guide instructions on safari.
Handshake is common. Use "Jambo" (hello) or "Habari" (how are you).
Always ask permission before photographing people.
Wait to be invited to eat. It's polite to wash hands before meals.
